Dr. Xinying Li is a Professor of the Key Laboratory of Mental Health, Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. She is the Principle Investigator of Child and Adolescent Emotion and Cognition Development Research Group.

Dr. Xinying Li got her medical degree from the Peking Union Medical College in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, she did her post-doctoral work in the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences focused on the neural mechanisms of anxiety. She joined the Beijing Twin Study (BeTwiSt) project in 2005 and began the research on adolescent mental health problems since then. Dr. Xinying Li has worked as visiting scholar at the University of Manchester, UC Davis, University of Minnesota and Stanford Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department.

Dr. Xinying Li is the author of many peer-reviewed publications in journals as well as book chapters. Her research concentrates on Autism Spectrum Disorder and adolescent emotional problems now.
