Dr. Nicholas Rossi is an otolaryngology resident physician in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. After completing his undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Texas at Austin, he went on to the UTMB School of Medicine in Galveston, Texas, where he obtained his medical degree. He stayed in Galveston for his otolaryngology residency training at the UTMB Department of Otolaryngology, where he is currently a fifth-year resident. Dr. Rossi will be joining the Department of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio in July 2024 for a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology. His clinical interests include pediatric obstructive sleep apnea, congenital neck masses, congenital hearing loss, cochlear implantation, and surgery for chronic ear disease.

Dr. Rossi has several research interests, but his primary research focus is on the role of social media in otolaryngology and its potential impact on patient care, a subject in which he has published extensively. Dr. Rossi received multiple awards for his social media research from both the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Foundation in 2021 and from the Houston Society of Otolaryngology in 2023. His other research interests include pediatric obstructive sleep apnea and postoperative admissions following pediatric adenotonsillectomy, quality improvement and cost effectiveness in pediatric otolaryngology, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in pediatric otolaryngology.
