Prof. Sitang Gong is the head of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Specialty of the National Clinical Key Specialty of the Women and Children's Medical Centre affiliated to Guangzhou Medical University. He is the president-elect of the Pediatricians Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Standing Committee of the Pediatrics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the honorary chairman of the gastroenterology group of the pediatrics branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and the vice chairman of the pediatrics group of the parenteral enteral nutrition branch of the Chinese Medical Association; he is also the associate editor of the Chinese Journal of Practical Pediatrics, the Journal of Clinical Pediatrics, and an editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Pediatrics and the World Journal of Pediatrics. He has published more than 140 SCI papers and has undertaken the 2023 National Key Research and Development Program. He specializes in clinical, teaching, and research work related to children's nutrition, gastrointestinal and liver diseases, and viral infectious diseases.
