Risk factors for catheter-related bloodstream infection in children undergoing blood purification therapy: a retrospective cohort study
Abstract
Catheter-related bloodstream infection (CRBSI) remains a major complication in children undergoing blood purification therapy, contributing to increased morbidity and healthcare burden. However, evidence regarding its risk factors in this specific population remains limited. This study aimed to investigate the risk factors for catheter-related infection during blood purification therapy in children, thereby providing evidence-based insights for optimizing central venous catheter (CVC) management and nursing strategies.
